My cousin is in the Real Estate business and published a link on Facebook for a particular house that is now on the market- something called the Young House Love?  I decided to check it out since the house had a “name”.  And I’m so glad I did!

This is one of my favorite blogs to follow now! 

You probably don’t know this, but at a certain point in my early twenties, I wanted to become an Interior Designer.  Not that my house shows that now, but I loved the thought of transforming rooms and making them look “WOW”.  Whenever I visited my friend Tera’s house- I was always so inspired.  Her home always looked like walking into The Pottery Barn.  Even her apartments looked stunning!  I wanted to decorate like her.  But I could never get it to look the same.

Interior Designer dreams were set aside.  I don’t have the eye that I thought I did. 

When I see the before and after pictures on the Young House Love blog- WOW.  That’s all I can say is WOW.   They transform kitchens, living rooms, family rooms- all with stunning paint colors and fabrics.   Makes me think I need to do something WOW for our living room, which has always been rather blah.  It probably won’t happen for another year, or maybe three!  It’s not a priority, although I would love to have that WOW factor sooner rather than later!

Great links and tips on how to make an upholstered headboard, add depth and texture to a room, make your own art, refinish cabinets or furniture (which apparently they do in place, and not out in a garage or something- yeah, that won’t work at my house!)
