Who-dy-what?
“Scentsy” is all the rage right now. Wick-less candles. Basically, they are warming pots that you plug in to the wall, which use a night-light bulb to warm the wax, the warmed wax emits wonderful scents, it’s safe, barely warm to the touch, not a fire hazard. It is currently how I fragrance my home. I have a warmer in our front room, playroom, kids’ room, our bedroom, and the main bathroom. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
“Cricut” is the maker of my die-cutting machine that I use for scrapbooking and the majority of our home crafts. I’ve been super busy this week cutting out all kinds of shapes and layers for the kids to build things like ghosts, owls, Frankenstein, little monsters, etc. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
“Marriage” is the union of two different surnames, in friendship and in love, in order to continue the posterity of the former sages, and to furnish those who shall preside at the sacrifices to heaven and earth, at those in the ancestral temple, and at those at the altars to the spirits of the land and grain.’ (according to Confucious). OK, so maybe that definition doesn’t apply here. So let’s simplify. “Marriage” is the union of two.
I recently hosted a Scentsy party and had decided before the party that I was going to order their Halloween themed warmer, which is dark gray with a gloss black print of a spooky tree in front of a white moon.
I had also thought about ordering a Christmas or winter themed warmer.
Then, duh, I had an epiphany.
Why spend money on decorative warmers that I can only use for 1 month out of the year?
I already have two of the simple black warmers:
I could use my Cricut machine with some vinyl adhesive paper to recreate those images myself! That way, at the end of the season I can peel it off the design and change it to something else! Or leave it blank! Or…..!
Heyyyyyyy, I might be on to something!
Problem is, right now I only have black vinyl. I guess a trip to the craft store is in order…I’ll pick up some white vinyl for sure, but what other color should I get?
I decided to order a white warmer- so that I have double flexibility when creating designs for the seasons.
For example, I can buy red or blue or silver vinyl to make snowflakes on the white warmer. Or buy green and make the tree scene above. Or for Halloween I can make a spooky spiderweb to cover the white warmer.
Or make a white ghost on the black warmer. Or get some orange for pumpkins!
Gee, my creative juices are really flowing… I need to go shopping!
Did this work for you? I thought about doing this and decided to research. I want to do it for a business.
