Actually, we haven’t carved our pumpkins yet, just cleaned them out and toasted all the seeds (yum!). I found a creative way to give my pumpkin some character……
OK, I can’t take credit for coming up with this on my own… I saw it as an idea as a carved pumpkin, where you peel the outer skin off to look like a mummy wrap. Why do that when I have an old sheet sitting around needing a use?
Anyway, we’re hoping to carve our pumpkins tonight. Pictures will be posted later. In the meantime, here’s a good Toasted Pumpkin Seed Recipe:
Toasted Pumpkin Seeds
2 cups of pumpkin seeds (NOT rinsed)
2 T melted butter
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt
Coat seeds and spread in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the oven at 275 for one hour, turning once.
