I know every situation is different, every body is different, but I’m hoping that if you are considering a hysterectomy, or have a friend or family member considering it, you will read my experience. Please feel free to share it with others.

I am curious if you had a vaginal hysterectomy. I am going to be going in soon and not sure what type is best to have. I am just starting my research. Happy you had a good experience.
No, mine was a Laparoscopic Hysterectomy.
Elisa, thank you for posting your experience pre and post hysterectomy. You said you had “adenomyosis” and that means it was fibroids. Actually adenomyosis is quite different than fibroids, the symptoms and treatment are very different. Like you, many women are given an endometrial ablation, which has risks they were never told about. When women experience a typical Endometrial Ablation Syndrome, which is very common, the only remedy is hysterectomy.
It sounds like your recuperation is going well. Wishing you a continued uneventful recuperation.
Best,
