I’ve been a loyal Partylite consumer for years. When I first started burning their candles, I realized that nothing else compares. They burn so clean, they smell so good, there’s no soot or smoke or leftover wax, I love them! Sure there are other “quality” candles out there, but I swear Partylite is still the best

When I first heard about Scentsy, I had zero interest in the product. I didn’t even know what it was, I just knew that I was staying with Partylite. I kept hearing the name more and more, and finally a friend invited me to a Scentsy party and I went to learn more and oblige my friend- not intending on purchasing anything. But I quickly realized how excellent the concept is.

Candles require fire. Candle wax gets hot. Candle holders get hot. I can’t burn candles during daycare- fire hazard, burn hazard, simply not a good idea.

Scentsy has no fire. Scentsy wax is relatively cool to the touch. It does not burn skin. The warmers do not get hot. I can run these during daycare because there is no fire hazard, no burn hazard, it is crazy cool!

The heating element is a 15-watt lightbulb. If you are comfortable leaving a night-light on, then you should be comfortable leaving a Scentsy warmer plugged in.

OK, so I probably haven’t sold you yet. This is what did it for me. And I just made this realization 3 days ago….

…It’s the scents.

I haven’t burned any Partylite candles since Christmas. For the past three months I’ve been using my Scentsy warmer with scents like: Snowberry, Mochadoodle, Honey Pear Cider. Mochadoodle seems to be the favorite among guests and visitors.

I also keep one in my bathroom with a “clean” smell like: Simply Irresistible, Olive Wood & Cypress, Enchanted Mist.

Two weeks ago when the weather was warm and sunny, I decided it was time to start using spring and summer scents. I saw that Scentsy had a new catalog out featuring citrus and fruit scents, but I have a Partylite drawer stocked full of summer scents: Agave Nectar, Pineapple & Pomegranate, Mango Tangerine, Acai Berry Mist, etc. I figured I’d just burn my Partylite candles instead.

So last week I pulled some Pineapple & Pomegranate tealights out and lined my fireplace mantle and lit the match.

At the end of the day, my house smelled good and fruity, but it also smelled like burning candles. And that’s when I realized the difference.

Partylite smells like candles. Sure, they smell great. And I think the scent lingers long after the flame has been extinguished, but it still has a candle smell. Which I didn’t realize until I spent three months with Scentsy scents.

Scentsy does not smell like candles. If you are melting the Sugar Cookie scent, it really smells like you are making cookies! The Honey Pear Cider smells like you have a pot of hot cider simmering on your stove. The Mochadoodle smells like a coffee shop. There is no “candle” smell. No “wax” smell.

I just turned in a Scentsy order to pick up more of the Mochadoodle, Enchanted Mist, and a few of their new summery scents. I have four warmers: one in our kitchen, one that shuffles between the living room, office and playroom (depending on which room needs the scent!), I have one plugged into the bathroom, and the last one is in our bedroom. I would love to pick up a couple more warmers because I love how “safe” it is and how easy they are to use!

Moral of the story, if you haven’t seen Scentsy yet- you need to check it out!
