Many of you saw the picture of our laceleaf maple last fall when Nikita started chewing back the branches. She continued to chew it down, leaving just the main branches. Jim spent some time fine-tuning the tree, making sure the ends were CUT smooth rather than chewed and jagged.
Here’s the reveal….
OK, no, that’s not really it. That’s the big laceleaf in our front yard.
And that’s the laceleaf by our front door.
Yep, this is the poor little guy in the backyard. Just a few little sprouts…..but at least there’s some growth!
It will be interesting to see how it continues this spring and summer….hoping the guy has a chance to make it!
